guam, marianas Islands^ Febr6—Lt. James Van Lowen De Bergh, USCG, relieved Lt.-Comdr. Charles W. fcadke, USCG,-aa commanding officer of the CGC, Iron- < wood. The Ironwood just completed logistic cruises in the Philippine Sea, South China S&a, and Celebes Sea.
-Lt. DeBergh now has his family on the .island of Guam which is the home port of the Ironwood.
4-H Club Week
National 4-H club week will be observed March 3 to March 11.
A special radio program over
March 7 will be conducted by the Rappahannock 4-H clubs, telling of some of their work. 'The display window of Lea Bros. Store in Washington will hold an exhibit of some of the iwork of the 4-H girls of the various county clubs.
PFC.HENRY BROWN IN HOSPITAL IN JAPAN
■- Mr. and Mrs. Maury W. Brown ‘have had a recent communication from their son Pfc. Henry Allen Brown, notifying them that he is in a hospital in Japan, recovering ' from a broken leg, sustained in an accident while riding in a truck ' with some of his army mates.

The Auxiliary to Emmanuel church met on Wednesday evening in the home* of Miss Louise O’Bannon. In the absence of the president, Mrs. S. E. Hening, Mrs. William Williamson, vic^ president, presided. The devotional was led by Mrs. Z. H. Sealock. After., the business session the ladies worked on the sewing project thejfc ’ have adopted for the Lenten season. Refreshments were served by the hostess.
