Mlas NelTie VirgmiaManual, 46, died Friday, March 9 at the Glendale Sanatorium, Glendale, Md., after an illness of two years, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Manual. Griveside services were conducted Sunday afternoon by the Rev. M. E. Sliger in the Masonic cemetery at Washington.
Active pallbearers were Guy Burke, Gilbert Updike, Luther Coppage, William Curtis, Charles Reid and Clarence Racer. Honorary pallbearers were Paul Walker, Luther Payne, Thomas Bidler, Clarence Oden, Clyde Jenkins and Ashby Wayland.
Surviving are three sisters and three brothers: Mrs. H. J. Racer and Mrs. Lillie Lillard, of Washington, and Mrs. Luther Coppage, of Marshall; three brothers John Mannal, of Front Royal; Haywood Manual, of Hampton Roads, and Frank Manual, of Roanoke. Also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews.
Among those from out of town attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. John Heyl of Warrenton, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wines of Marshall, Miss Becky Edmonds of Front Royal, Mrs. William Utz pf College Park, Md., Thames Bidler of Washington, D.C., John Manual of Front Royal, Armistead Wines of Marshall, Mr. and Mrs. L J. Long of Warrenton, Mr. and Mrs. William CuTtis of Washington, D.C., and Mr. and Mrs. Luther Coppage of Marshall.
Mrs. W. Booten Jenkins
Mrs. Flora Lee Jenkins, 88, wife of William Booten Jenkins, of Rappahannock, died Wednesday, March 7, at her residence near Sperryville, after several days’ illness following a long period of declining health.
Besides her husband, she leaves three sons, Ellis, Charles and William Jenkins, of Sperryville; two sisters, Mrs. Maude Nichols, of Nethers and Mrs. Annie Jenkins, of Amissville; and 28 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon with grffveside services held in the family cemetery located on the farm. Rev. Warren Corbin, pastor of Piedmont Regular Baptist church of Sperryville, conducted brief scriptural services with a large assemblage of friends and relatives present.
Pallbearers and Sower bearers were selected from her many grandchildren. Pallbearers were Mitchell Jenkins, Clifton Weakley, Willie Jenkins, Kelson Fincham, Clarence Jenkins, Billie Clark, Charles Jenkins, end George Jenkins. Honorary pallbearers were Mrs. Harry Woodward, Mrs. Billie Clark, Mrs. Mollie Jenkins, Mrs. Louise Jenkins, Mrs. Fenton Sisk, Mrs. Pauline Clark, Mrs. Mary Lee Jenkins, Mrs. Dollie Jenkins, Booten Jenkins and Harry Woodward.

Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at 2 o’clock, Masonic cemetery, Culpeper, for Julian Wayman Johnson, who died Monday night, March 12, at his home in Culpeper.
Mr. Johnson, always ready with a cheery greeting at his place of business in Culpeper, loved Rappahannock people and enjoyed telling that the first job be ever held was in Rappahannock National Bank, where he went to work as a youngster. * » Although Mr. Johnson had suffered for some years with asthma, and-a heart, condition, his deatb
many friends, for he was sick only a few honrs before his death.
Son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry C. Johnson, Wayman Johni son is survived by his wife, Mrs. Marie Johnson; a sister, Miss May Johnson; three children, Julian W. Johnson, Jr.; Mrs. Martha Johnson Winn, and Henry Clayten Johnson; and five grandsons.,
