required on food for special dietary use, and that, the books accompanying the molasses “grossly misrepresented" the benefits derived from its use.. ^<lf,

Isn’t that just the way life _ goes? Here was a fellow who ‘suggested a nice, cheap way to improve your health and looks.' And nine chances out of ten, a lot of people believed him and were helped by the diet of blackstrap molasses. Leastways, no one was hurt by it. But the fellow’s in a mess of trouble—just from trying to help other people and, incidentally, to help himself get along better in this hard, cold, cruel world.

Too many times when things

arises: I should have stayed at home, anyway; I had no business there.

It brings to mind the story of the man who shot a homing pigeon. When brought to task about the deed, he said. “I was shooting at a flock of crows. That pigeon was in mighty bad com-, pany."

Many a time, when a story is repeated about an unfortunate mishap, the fellow’s statement returns to mind—a pigeon in a flock of crows . . . had no business there . . should have stayed where I belonged in the first place.

“I couldn’t find the Walrus column last week," reported a lady Tuesday morning. Well, ma’am, it was like this: last week was the one we “should of stood in bed." We printed the story on the board of supervisors meeting, and after printing three times that the tentative levy for the new school .was 15-cents, at the beginning of a new paragraph (where it stuck out like a sore thumb) the 15cents got switched backwards and read 51-centsl Then the tax budget bad to be printed and it was late coming in because it had to be typed again after the board meeting was over. That threw out Emily B. Miller’s column on “Records” of former days in the county. Next in the order of mistakes and upsets is the explanation for your missing the Walrus. The Walrus was there, all right, reposing in new-found dignity under the Miller name and pretending to be “Records.”

The clumsy animal is back in place this week, and I can’s see as how putting on airs last week did a bit of good. The Walrus is still as inane as formerly.
