Dissolution of RFCThe
follbwing statement was issued March 14 from the office of Senator Harry F. Byrd: I will introduce tomorrow a bill providing for the dissolution of the Reconstruction Finance Corporation. The legislation will provide that the banking activities of the corporation shall be liquidated by the Secretary of the Treasury. The receipts from such liquidation, estimated at approximately $1 billion, shall be applied to a curtailment of the public debt.
