Jo 'Ellen Worth Awarded
Prize in Amateur Contest
Miss Jo Ellen Worth, daughter of Mrs. E. B. Cary, and a student at Madison College, wa3 awarded second prize in the Strasburg Lions Club Amateur Contest, in the grand finals held Friday at the Home Theatre in Strasburg. The contest was won by Jimmie Crabill of Harrisonburg.
The judges verified the fact Jimmie didn’t find the going easy. Close behind was Miss Worth,, whose looks were as charming as her voice. Miss Worth sang the “Indian Love Call” with color and feeling. She was awarded $50.00 as second prize. Miss Worth will appear on WMAL-TV show (channel 7) some time in June.
