tended the Union Meeting at the Hawksville Primitive Baptist church in Page county on Saturday and Sunday and were overnight guests on Saturday of Mrs. Abe Brubaker. Mr. ahd Mrs. Lester Yates and their baby girl were also present at these services. On Monday Elder and Mrs. Daily were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Stevens in Front Royal.

Mr. and Mrs. Taylor Updike and family and Mr. and Mrs. George Woo'd were dinner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Nethers. Miss Mattie Rector was an afternoon visitor of Mrs. C. H. Fox and Miss Mary Updike on Monday.

Mrs. Eleanor Yates Scheuer and children of Williamsburg, who spent the week end in Luray^with their aunt Mrs. Harry Brubaker and Mr. Brubaker came to SperTyville on Monday for a visit with Mr. and Mrs. Lester Yates at their home near town.

Mrs. T. C. Lea, and Mrs. Lewis Turner were shoppers in Front Royal Tuesday.

Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Buckley and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Maney and children of Washington, D.C., were dinner guests Saturday even*ing of Mr. and Mrs. George Wood.

Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Johnson entertained the members of the Woodville Baptist church choir with a picriic supper on their lawn on Friday evening.

S. E. Hening, w'ho has been on a business trip to Falls River, Mass., returned to his home at Sperryville on Friday. Mrs. Henirtg has been confined to her room , for the past week with flu.

Mrs. Russell Wood of Flint Hill entered the hospital in Front Royal Sunday evening as a patient. ,She was operated on Monday morning. Mrs. Wood’s condition is reported to be satisfactory.

Mrs. James M. Yates, who spent last week with Mr. and Mrs. J. Hi Aylor and family in Arlington, returned to the Lee Highway Hotel on Saturday afternoon, accompanied by the Aylor family who were week-end guests of Mrs. Della Howard and Mr. and’ Mrs. H. H. Aylor.

Sunday guests of Mrs. S. G. Bruce in the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. Ennis Brown were Mr. and Mrs. Russell E. Jones and their daughter Cindy and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bruce of Front Royal. ~ . -■=!
