Dearing—-Moore
The Rockville, Maryland, Baptist church was the setting on Friday afternoon for ithe wedding of • Miss Nancy Moore and Lide Dearing. The Reverend B. M. Adams performed the ceremony.
The bride, daughter of Mrs. John R. Moore-and the late Mr. Moore, of Flint Hill, was attired in a beige suit with brown accessories and wore a yellow rose corsage. She was attended by Mrs. Cameron Miller of Harrisonburg, as matron of honor. The bridegroom’s best man was Cameron Miller.
A small reception followed the wedding in the Willard hotel in Washington, D. C.,. Those present wece Mrs. John R. Moore gf Flint Hill, Charles J. Moore, Jr., of York Harbor, Maine, Miss Lottie Prints and Mrs. Patrick Carringan' of Washington, D.C.
The bride Received her B.S. degree in Education from Madison College, Harrisonburg in 1950; was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha International Women’s Fraternity and taught art in the Front* Royal 'Elementary school last session. .
The bridegroom, a native of Lag Vegas, Nevada, attended the University of Nevada and served in world War II for four years, he expects to resume his studies in Nevada this fall.
After a wedding trip through the southern states and into New Mexico, the couple will make their home in Reno, Nevada.__

G. W. Payne Will Open
New Service Station
Willie Payne plans to open hisi new garage and service st&tign the first of the month. JThe new .building is located on the north mde of the road about a mile from Washington toward Massie’s Corner. Mr. Payne planned and constructed- the cinder-1 ■block building, with dimensions 20x40 feeL He is putting a flat) roof on, in case he may wish to add a second story later. The building will be stuccoed.
The building at present is nearing completion, and Mr. Payne

The .new garage and service station business' will be open in time for the music festival concerts . in August.

H. D. Club Meeting
Held at ‘East Hamlet*
The Home Demonstration club of Flint Hill entertained at a picnic supper Tuesday, July 17, in honor of Miss Mary Moorman, home agent-at-large, at -“East Hamlet,” home of Mrs. Fannie Eastham near Flint Hill. Those present were Mrs. Carson Lillard, Miss Ruth Stevens, Mrs. Russell Wood, Miss Annie Cooksey, Miss Allie Cooksey, Mrs. Randolph Foster, Mrs. J. P. Cook, Mrs. Norman Flythe, Mrs. Russell Sutphin, Mrs. M. R. Bradford, Mrs. R. L. Massie, and Mrs. Frank Cary.
