Town Council Set* Budget

Publication date, August 22, for the 1951-52 budget of the Town of Washington was set at the town council meeting Tuesday night, held on the bank lot in the cool of the evening. Five council members and the mayor were present, along with the treasurer, Robert L. Brown. .aMrs. C. J. Miller, chairman of. the street committee, announced that grass and greeds would be cut this week. • * A request by Fields Benton to have a ditch dug from Main street \ to his property was reported bjr v Ruby Jenkins and a motion to this effect was made and carried.

Steps are being taken to secure postal cards of public buildings . and places of interest to the Town of Washington..
