At the July 30 meeting of the Sperryville V.F.W. Auxiliary, Poet No. 1150, Mrs. Louise Selby, past president of 7th district, and Mrs. Bernice Conrad, president of 7thi district, met with the ladies to reorganize. The ladies agreed to pay 1951 dues out of the treasury. On this date the officers were elected and the secretary was appointed by the president. The new officers Were installed as Mrs. Selby actdd as chairman. Four new members were indicated; they were: Mrs. Florence Brown, Mrs. Lucy Clater, Mrs. Cathryn Wayland, and Mrs. Aline Brown. There are how. 19 members. > ^Officers are: Mrs. Eleanor Brown, president; Mrs. Ann B. Thompson, secretary; Mrs. Aline Johnson, treasurer; Mrs. "MaybeUe Atkins, senior vice-president; Mrs. Marth^ Yates Taylor," junior vicepresident; Mrs. Catherine Trescott, guard; Mrs. Florence Brown, chaplain; Mrs. Anna Brown, conductress, Mrs. Nessell Clater, Mrs. Lucy Clater, Mrs. Peggy Brown, Mrs. Cathryn Wayland, . colorbearers; Mrs. Frances Thornton, patriotic instructor.

Meetings of the auxiliary are held the first Monday in.each month.

Refreshments were served by the V.F.W. Post No. 1150. This post meets the 1st and 3rd Mondays in the month, which makes the next Meeting this Monday, August 20.

New Home Agent Will

Arrive September 4

Miss Elizabeth Fuss of West 'Virginia will arrive Tuesday, September 4, to assume her duties as home demonstration agent for Rappahannock county. Miss Fuss will make her home with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bruce.

Washington H.D, club met on Tuesday, August 14, at the home of Mrs. Gilbert Updike. The pro-i ject for the meeting was re-decorating hats. Each member of the1 club brought a covered dish and lunch was served on the lawn.
