On September 2, the high school pupils assembled in the auditorium for the last half of the closing period, and enjoyed an informal "sing” under the guidance of Miss Charlotte Golladay, county music instructor. ^ “ On September 27, the Rev. E. Wayne Thompson, visiting minister, gave a short, informal talk to the students. They were much impressed by Mr. Thompson’s ability and sincerity.

Health work has gone forward at Rappahannock County High School. Dr. Snead has examined: all the grade and high school pupils. Dr. Fell, state dentist, has examined the teeth all grade pupils. " '
Mr. Deck has paid his annnal fall visit to R.C.H.S. in the interests of the Herff-Jone* Co., which has, fob years, supplied thei graduates with caps and gowns, - and invitations for Commencement. ,
The first meeting of the newly formed District N of the Virginia Education Association met in the ’James Wood High School, Winchester, on Friday, September 28. All teachers of 'Rappahannock county, with tho exception of several who were abaent because of illness, attended. >
