County Firemen Will Way
Donkey Baseball, Friday1
The Sperryville Firemen and ’ Rappahannock Volunteer Firemen of Washington will join forces tomorrow night at Sperryville to try to control some donkeys in a baseball game. They may control fires very well, but they guarantee no control over the donkeys.
The list of firemen from Sperryville who will play in the game Friday night includes H. H. Aylor, Buddy Aylor, Allison Atkins, Gid Clater, Buck Lewis, Charles Estes, Bob Estes, Jack Weaver, Garfield Burke, A. J. Dodson, and Charles - Dodson. ,
A list of the Washington fire-, men has not been made, but all of them are expected to be on hand to take a turn at persuading •the donkeys to move. ' ,
The donkeys are a brained lot, taught to be exactly what a baseball player doesn’t want to help :; ' him in a game. With men trying , to play baseball and donkeys do- £ ing everything to discourage their efforts, there is only one thing that can result, and that will be > an evening of fun.
The games begins at 8 o’clock, Friday evening, at Sperryville school, under lights. •
