Three birthday anniversaries were celebrated together on Uoa> day evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. William Johnson in Colpaper when a dinner party mark* ed the occasion. The three birthdays, all on October 1, were for Miss Nellie Johnson, U. G. Car-4 dor, and William H. Johnson. (Guests present included Misses Lillie and Nellie Johnson, Miss ■ Bessie Carder, Mr. and Mrs, C. R. Johnson, and Mr. and Mrs. U. 6. Carder from Arlington.

Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Moore were hosts at bridge Saturday evening _ at their home in flint Hill. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Billy Gilbert, Mr. and Mrs. Emory (Russell, Mr. . .. and Mrs. Claude Coolc, Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie McGehee, and Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Smith, Jr. Mr. and Mrs. McGehee took the high score prizes for the men and the ladies, and Billy Gilbert waa awarded traveling prize.

Mrs. W. F. Moofett entertained the bridge club Thursday evening at a buffet supper. Those playing were Mrs. Elizabeth H. DeBecgh, Mrs. J, W._ Price, Mrs. T. C. Lea, Mrs. p^rge H. Davis, Mrs. Lewis “ Turner, Mrs. C. T. Bruce, Mrs. W. H. Massie, Jr., and Mrs.' D. D. Miller. High prises were awarded for the two tables, to Mrs. George Davis and Mrs. C. T. Bruce. 'Mrs. D. D. Miller won bingo.

Entertain At Bridge

Mr. and Mrs. John Davis entertained at dessert bridge Friday evening a t "Hawthorne," their home at Hawlin.” Those playing were Mrs. H. B. Winfrey, Mrs.! Earl Combs, Mrs. Robert Menefee, Mrs. Charles Estes, Dr. and Mrs. John P. Snead, Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Quaintance, Mr. and Mrs. P. Lee Thornton, Mrs. Holmes Hall, Mrs. Z. H. Sealock, Mrs. Car1, roll Menefee, Mrs. R. E. Wood, Mrs. Fred Schaefer, Mrs. George Taylor, Mrs. W. ,H. Lyne, Mrs. C. H. H, Branch, Mrs. C- E. Johnson. Mrs. R. E. Wood won the f high score prize, Mrs. Sealock won the traveling prize, and Mrs. Combs, the consolation.
