Mr. and Mrs. R. Frank Goode of Front Royal have announced the engagement of their daughter, Virginia Marie, to Sfc. James R. Brant, eon of the late Mr. and Mrs. James M. Brant of Camberland, Maryland, and a nephew of Mr. and Mrs. J. Edward Wiltshire of range.
Miss Goode seas graduated from Warren County -High School in 1947, and is now employed by Lansburgh’s, Washington, DC., as an lasistaat buyer.

Funeral services for Hollis Stephenson,, who died in Veteran* hospital, Richmond, October 80, will be held from St. Stephen’s Episcopal church, Culpeper, this afternoon at 3 p.m., with burial in the' National Cemetery.
Mr. Stephenson, an uncle of Miss Annie Stephenson and W. L. Yancey of Rappahanock, was a veteran of the Spanish-American war.

Music (Festival Season
Tentative plans for the coming season of the Blue Ridge Music Festival are being made to present four concerts during thp summer of 1952, according to a statement made by Mrs. William' Haaker. Two of the series will be concerts by the Virginia Symphony Orchestra under the direction of William Haaker.
Plans also point toward an enlargement of the already established executive board drawing an appointed chairman from each nearby Virginia Orchestra Guild chapter.
iMr. and Mrs. Haaker spent the past week end in the county. Mr. Haaker has just returned from a seven weeks’ concert tour of piano recitals in ten states.
