RURAL ELBCTIRIFICATION
CONFERENCE SCHEDULED
New developments in electrical equipment for the farm and home, will come up for discussion at the 13th annual Virginia Rural Electrification Conference at Natural Bridge, November 8 and 9.
Representatives of power supply companies, of educational agencies and equipment suppliers also will have an opportunity to see some of the new_ equipment demonstrated.
Other subjects slated for discussion include safe and convenient wiring on farms, and a report on a study underway in Virginia on use of certain electrical equipment.
Speakers the first day will be: J. P. tSchaenzer, Technical Standards Division, REA, Washington, D. C.; P. W. Smith, Virginia Electric A Power Company, Alexandria; J. L. Calhoun, associate agricultural engineer at V.P.I.; T. J. Horne, head of VPI’s vocational agriculture department; and Russell Henderson, 4-H winner of the state rural electrification contest, Tye River.
A panel, led by H. S. Pringle, USDA rural electrification specialist, Washington, D. C., also Is scheduled.
