The program had the sanction of Dr. Johnson of the Department of Public Health, and asked for Comment by Dr. John P. Snead and Dr. R. W. Quaintance, both of whom stated that it had their endorsement and that they felt that the program was needed and necessary.
•Everyone present was requested to do all they could to help to see that the Blood Unit be brought to (Rappahannock county and that each person present appoint themselves to bring donors. Mrs. Miller set forth that high blood pressure, malaria and other disorders of this type would not necessarily mean that persons who had these could not donate as this blood could be made into plasma.
The area representative of The American Bed Cross, Miss DeLeon of Charlottesville, told of the organisation of the unit and stated that this unit would be set up in the baaement of the Baptist church at Spenryville and tha^ there was a unit at the University of Virginia Hospital at Charlottesville, which would be open at all times and that if any local person
