Either of two methods is approved; draw a square, mark an Z in it and write the of M». Roberta K. Massie, being sure to place the write-in directly below the name of R. L. Massie; or use the robber stamp provided at each polling place. A voter who is not certain what to do, can ask the judges. A judge cannot volunteer information, bat he will answer a question.
Miss Margaret Compton is the unopposed candidiate for Justice of the Peace in Hampton District.
J. W. Critser, the incumbent, is opposed by Robert W (Buck) Brown for the office of Sheriff, State Senator Raymond R. Cuest is opposed by Eugene N. Beard, Independent, of Luray.
The Hon. D. French Slaughter appears on the ballot as candi*»*• $>* House of Delegates. As opposition appears the name of •Mortimer M. Marshall, Negro, of Culpeper.
Dr. H. B. Lacy
Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon, October 27, from his home in Culpeper for Dr. Harry BeMeld Lacy, who died Thursday at a Richmond hospital.
Dr. Lacy, 58, son of William Belfield Lacy and Mrs. Nannie Lacy, is survived by his wife, the former Miss Mary Ruth Winn of Lawrenceville; a daughter, Marilyn Winn Lacy; two sisters, Mrs. Haywood Tanner and Mrs. Robert Beadles; and a brother, Dr. William Louis Lacy. /
Dr. H. B. Lacy was a dentist in Culpeper for the past 38 years.
Teen-Agers Agree to Start
Plans for Recreation
A group of teen-ager^ of the county met Tuesday evening in Sperryville school with representatives of the P.T.A., V.F.W., and other civic groups to discuss plana for a recreation center. The teenagers discussed their responsibilities and agreed to work on plans for starting the recreation meetings at once and building toward, perhaps a future recreation bnilding in the Sperryville neighborhood.
Plans will be continned at other meetings set for the near future.
