After having served you and this county as Sheriff for the past Id months, I think most of you know me, or know of me; therefore, I do hereby announce myself as a candidate for said office subject to November < election. I will greatly appreciate your vote on that day and should you see fit to elect me to continue in this office, I assure you I will continue to give you my beat service.
I am 58 years of age; a native of Virginia and a resident of Rappahannock county for the past 87 years; a World War I veteran, having served overseas 14 months with the Fourth Division; and had 82 years of service with the State Highway Deparment,
