A party was held at the home of Frances and Shirley Gatewood on July 8. Those present were Billy Freeman, Ann Freeman, Luemma Fletcher, Ted and Charlotte Barbour, Margaret Fletcher, Johnny Freeman, Marie and'Jaynette Baily, Margaret and Delores Timbers.
The First Baptist Church will hold its annual conference Saturday eventing at 8 p.m. All members are invited to be present as there will be important business to be attended to. .

Reginald Lovett Poles, son of the late Martha Ann Timbers, died at Harrisburg, Penn.,.July 8. His funeral was conducted by Rev. J. B. Williams on Monday, July 14, at the Hooper Memorial Home, Harrisburg, Pa., at 2 p.m. Interment was held in the Lincoln Cemetery.
The pallbearers were Haywood Timbers, Tellus Poles, Ashby Jackson, Thomas Grisby, James Weathers and Hooper.
He is survived by one sister, Gladys R. Timbers of Washington; five neices: one nephew; and one sister-in-law; and a host of relatives and friends.
Mr. Poles was born and raised in Rappahannock County . but spent around fifty years in Pennsylvania. -Among -those from Rappahannock attending the funeral were Miss Gladys Timbers, Haywood Timbers, .and Tellus Poles.
