Meetings of the Virginia Federation of Home Demonstration Clubs, and of the Agricultural Conference Board, hive been scheduled for July 29 and 30, immediately preceding the— 19th annual Institute of Rural Affairs at VPI..
The Conference Board this year is sponsoring a co-op directors' conference. * The directors will hear addresses by: John S. Goddin, attorney-at-law, Richmond; J, K. Stern, Washington, D. C., president, American Institute of Cooperation; R. S. Graves, Syria; George Palmer, Green Bay; Dr. W. Myers, director of field crops research, USD A, Washington, D. C.; Dr. Harry Love, head of the department of agricultural economics, VPI; and George J. Waas, senior agricultural economist, Farm Credit Administration.
An executive board meeting of the Federation is scheduled for Tuesday afternoon, July 29. Wednesday, Federation members will hear addresses by: Dr. Walter S. Newman, president of VPI; Mrs. Willis S. Dickinson, Federation president, Fredericksburg; and Dr. Charles Martin, president, Radford College. A panel discussion, led by Miss Maude E. Wallace, assistant director of the VPI Agricultural Extension Service, also is planned for ’^Wednesday.
The Institute opens Wednesday evening, with a humorous address by Rev. Lawrenee-Hall, rector of the ~ Episcopal church, Portsmouth, Ohio.
