Miss Catherine Perry, rural arts specialists, conducted a leader training meeting for the craft leaders. Miss Perry showed the group how to make a stencil and cut it; also how to textile paint. Persons attending were Mrs. Jessie Rowzie, Mrs. Grace Weaver, Mrs. G. M. Profitt, Mrs. J. P. Cook, Mrs Mary Miller, Mrs. Joq Hitt, Mrs. C. R. Hite, Miss Nellie Johnson and Mrs. Ruth Coppage.
An electric tour to the home of Mrs. Ned Johnson, Mrs. Ben Weddle and to see the dairy of Mr. Jackson was taken by 4-H’ers enrolled in the county farm and home electric project. Saturday, May 30, the 4-H’ers were especially interested in the many uses of electricity being made in each of the homes and how the appliances work. Also the efficient use of electric motors was pointed out by our hostess, Betty Johnson. Group was impressed at Mrs. Weddle’s on the use of the mangle. Outstanding at dairy to the group was demonstration on using the electric milker by Mr. Jackson. t
Appreciation of their cooperation is extended to Mrs. Johnson, Mrs. Weddle and Mr. Jackson in helping 4-H’ers actually see efficient use of electricity on the farm and in the home.
