A birthday party was given in "honor of Mrs. Bessie M. Jett on Friday night at the home of her brotherin-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Jett. A large number of guests were present and the honoree received many beautiful gifts.
The Silvertone Quartette of Washington, D. C. will present a program at Macedonia Baptist church, Flint Hill, Sunday, August 9 at 8:15 p.m. Plenty of refreshments following the program. The public" is invited.
