LITTER OF NINETEEN PIGS
Rasmus Singleton, Sperryville, reports his sow farrowed a total of nineteen pigs on Monday of this week, To quote Mr. Singleton; “I don’t know whether this is a record or not but it is certainly a record as far as my farm is concerned.” Eighteen of the pigs were born alive and persumably, one was mashed by the mother ^hich no doubt must have been disturbed over having so many squealing pigs around looking to her for nourishment;
