CHURCH SERVICES

The Rev. G. M. Profit* will speak on the subject, “Christian Faith, A Source of Family Strength, this Sunday, September 20 at the 11 a.m. worship service in the Washington Baptist church.

Rev. Profitt will also speak at the 7:30 p.m. service in Flint Hill on the subject, “Influence and Power.” The public is invited to both these services.

The Washington Baptist church is moving forward. The attendance is steadily climbing each week. Last Sunday we had 106 in Sunday School and an estimated 100 in the Worship service.

The men’s class has pledged $500 on the furnace and part of the money has all ready been received. Keep the good work up and we will soon have the church full and running over with people everywhere.

The Thursday night Bible class is also growing each week and we will be studying the 4th chapter of John this Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m. Come and enjoy this hour with us.

7 Church services will be conducted by the Rev. Menchhofer in the Willis Chapel Methodist church at 9:45; at Flint Hill at 11; and at Sperryville at 7:30.

Sunday school is at 9 a.m. at Willis Chapel; Flint Hill, Sperryville, Amissville and Jeffersonton at 10. The Quarterly Conference of the Rappahannock charge will be held at Sperryville at 10 o’clock a.m. instead of the previously planned 1:30. Preaching will be at 1:30 p.m. instead
