Mr. and Mfs. A. L. Smith of Gainesville were Sunday guests at “Barlow,” the home of Mrs. Helen Bruce and Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Gore. Mrs. Z. H. Sealock, Mrs. Holmes Hall and Mrs. Bertie Lib Moffett entertained jointly at a dinner party Saturday evening at the Lee Highway Hotel. Their guests were Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Johnson Jr., Mrs. C. H. H. Branch, Mrs. James F. Smith, Mrs. William Meade Fletcher, Mr. and Mrs. Henry L. Miller, Mr. and Mrs. B. M. Miller, and Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Wood.

Mrs. Maurice Shirey and guests, T/Sgt. Maury W. Brown Jr. and Mrs. Brown and their daughter, Susan of Front Royal were guests on Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Maury W. Brown. T/Sgt. will leave on Wednesday for Camp Kilmer, N. J. from where he will be assigned for further duty in Greenland. Mrs. Brown and daughter will remain with Mrs. Shirey in Front Royal during his absence.

Sunday visitors in the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. Ennis Brown were Mr. and Mrs. Ray Williams and son, Michael, Mr. and Mrs. H. S. Griffith and daughter, Linda, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bruce of Front Royal,V Mr. and Mrs. Harold Coates and daughter, of Strasburg.
