THOMAS B. STANLEY

Around 800 voters turned out' Tuesday in Rappahannock to elect Democratic candidate, Stanley, to the governorship in the greatest challenge to Democratic reign presented in half a century. Stanley polled a vote of 616 against a total of 153 polled by Republican candidate, Dalton, to insure his support in the county by a comfortable margin.

Tom Frost, unopposed candidate for the House of Delegates, amassed the greatest vote, 624, cast in Rappahannock with Stanley supporters totaling 616 and Stephens following as third with 576.
