Historic Room

Rappahannock County is invited to join Culpeper in the opening of a Historic Room, to be located in Culpeper in the old brick house next to Timmy Williams’ new ’drugstore. Thus our county is afforded an op-— portunity for preserving relics of her - colorful history. Citizens may give, place or "loan articles for exhibit in this room as Rappahannock ^is considered a joint member in this project. ^

Two Rappahannock members, Mrs. Holmes .Hall and Mrs. Lily Barber, * are active in the sponsoring organization, the UDC's. Last year the or-< ganization contributed to preserving " the historical atmosphere of Washington when they spent $100 repairing the monument in the court yard. #

The Culpeper Minute Men Chapter .of U.D.C. is having a benefit movie, 4 “Crusin* Down the River,” Tuesday and Wednesday, May 6 and 7 in Pitts Theatre to obtain funds for the opening of this Historic Room.
