The Shenandoah Area Poultry Auction Inc. will hold its first auction of live poultry at 2.00 p. m. June 15 at thhe Golden Glow Restaurant Building on Gerrard Street in Winchester. I believe this is the first non-profit poultry auction set up in Virginia which should prove a good thing—-that is, jf it works like those in Pennsylvania which I understand have been quite successful. A letter from the manager advises approximately 10 to 20 buyers will be present and have been approved.
Also he advises: “poultry will have to be listed at the Auction between Tuesday morning and Thursday evening of each week so the buyers will have time to inspect the poultry before “auction” day.
