■t Hundreds of babies in Virginia have been given homes as a result of the work of the Children's Home Society, the state's oldest and largest adoption agency, according to Mrs. D. D. Miller, of Washington, Rappahannock County Chairman for the 1954 ^Campaign to raise funds to cany bn the work. J “I want to appeal to our )>eople in this section of Virginia to give generously to this wonderful drive and to avail themselves of the op-v* portunity to share in making this service available to the children in our state," she added. ; Mrs. Miller has announced the names of those who will assist her in the drive. They include Mrs. L. R. Hudson, Mrs. Ralph Rowzie, Mrs. Kathleen Lawrence, Mrs. C. B. Johnson and Mrs. Eleanor Bradley. 1 I Sponsors include, Mrs. S. E. Hening, Mrs. L. R. Hudson and Mrs. D. D. Miller. ' t | Records show that this Organization now has nearly 1,000 requests for adoption of babies. This indicates that the Society is not only watching out for the babies in their care but is also bringing to the homes seeking adoption of children a happiness whicn cannot be found in any other way. * ' V
