Excitement mounted fast Sunday evening as the Flint Hill Athletic Club ran up an early lead over the Rappahannock Chiefs; and then as both sides, over, anxious, fell fate to errors, the score tied, and finally, the Chiefs surged ahead for the win._*

George Pullen stepped to the plate in the top of the first and slammed out a home run, scoring Charles Foster and giving the A... C. their 2 run edge.

Both sides failed to score in the second, while the Chiefs gained a run in the third as Pete Clater singled, Ned Settle duplicated and1 a Flint Hill outfielder made an error. ;- ~r ':
