Tom Bill Deatherage gives notice to fox hunters generally that if they wish to test their dogs to come over on the north side of the Fodjder Stack. He defies the world to catch his and John Eastham’s “Old Regular.” Tom says they have chased him, in all, about two thousand miles and still he lives. He says, “Old Regular” has gotten so smart that he rarelyever runs on the ground, but hangs to stone fences, logs rocks or anything to fool the dogs, and pokes his head in a hole or hollow log, when he barks.
