Rev. R. L. Banks and choir from Mt. Holy will conduct services at First Baptist Church in Washington, Sunday night, October 17. This is sponsored by the Junior Choir. All neighboring choirs are invited to attend.
The Flint Hill Elementary School will have a Pre-Halloween Program Friday night, October 22. The primary pupils will present a one-act play, Rabbit’s Halloween.
The characters are as follows: Rabbit, Howard Russell; Fox, Abner Russell; Cat, Moses Jones Owl, Charles Jordan; Ghost, Fred Ausberry; Jack-o-lantern, Albert Jett; Witch, Lillian Russell.
Come out and have an evening of fun. Games of all kinds. Refreshments on sale and plenty of good music.
On October 1, at Pine Knot Inn, a wedding shower was given Mr. and Mrs. Robert Summons by their many friends. The table was beautiful decorated with cut flowers and a lovely wedding cake Delicious refreshments were served to about 75 guests. AJter receiving many nice presents, all departed their many friends wishing them lots of happiness.
