A membership list of the Washington Book Shop which was subpoenaed by the Special Committee on Un-American Activities in 1341 contains the name of one Helen Fuller whose address was 2445 15th Street, N. W., Washington, :d. c.
The Washington Book Shop was cited in a report of the Special Committee as a Communistfront organization (report of <March 29, 1944); it was cited as a Communist front by the Attorney General of the United States and later cited as subversive and Communist (Congressional Record, September 24, 1942, page 7688; and press releases of December 4, 1947 and September 21, 1948; redesignated April 27, . 1953).
Helen Fuller was a sponsor of the Committee for a Democratic Far Eastern Policy, as shown on letterheads of that group dated 1946, July 11, 1947 and May 28, 1948. The Committee for a Democratic (Far Eastern Policy was cited as Communist by the Attorney General (press release of April 27, 1949; redesignated April 27, 1953).
Helen Fuller signed a statement against the Mundt anti-Communist bill, as shown in an advertisement, which appeared in the Washington, D.C. Post of May 18, 1948 (page 15).
