Artmobile In County : For Three-Day Visit

School visits to the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts’ Artmobile on January 30, 31 and February 1 are planned by H. B. Winfrey, principal of the Rappahannock , County High School. During its 3-day visit, the Artmobile will be located at Sperryville, on the lot back of the Lee Highway Hotel. The Artmobile, given by Miller . and Rhoads, accommodates fifteen pupils at a time, A visit requirea'fifteen minutes. Special periods have been reserved for school group visits. They are: January 31 and February 1,-' 9:30 to 11:30 and 1:15 to 3:30

Prior to the artmobile’s visit, filmstrips prepared by the Virginia Museum, about the Low Countries and Dutch and Fleoush paintings wjll be shown in die schools. The -filmstrips depirt scenes and illustrations of life in the Netherlands and Belgium, and by showing them in the schools, fhe Artmobile exhibition is integrated with the school social studies program. *

Hailed by, governmental and educational officials as a new and unique feature of modern education, the Artmobile, sponsored by * the Virginia Federation of Women’s Clubs, continues its exhibition throughout this year’s tour. After that time a new exhibit will be installed and the Artmobile will repeat its travels throughout the Commonwealth. ' " ’*

Visiting hours for the general public are: January 30, 2:00 to 5:00; January 31 and February 1, 3:30 to 5:30 and 7:30 to 8:30.
