It is now 12 noon in Beirut which means that it is 6 ajn. EST. at home. There have '< been many highlights -since we (CarolynCate, a nurse from Chattanooga; Nancy, Bill and Louise Hearn from N. C. and Mo.) |eft New York. We arrived in Beirut on the 20 day which was Oct; 13. Our boat was the EXCAMBION of the Ameri"Ncan Export line. It carried 125 )passengers and was most comfort-•abl?. the Roy Wyatts, Chaijles Whittens and Joe Meffords in Barcelona, Spain. Four days previously the Meffords had moved to Valencia but were in town for an evangelistic fQeetin& that night. We saw two Baptist Churches and 'the seminary. The 12 Seminary, students wer$ radiant and enthusiastic. We shook hands twice around; when we arrived and when we left. The igeople here love to shake hands and that'helps a , lot when you cannot talk with them. We had worship services aboard ship each Sunday. There were five other missionaries representing other denominations,* so we had prayer meetings, Bible study, hymn singing and much fellowship.
