2n order for new recruits in the . U. S. Navy to be eligible for the various veteran’s benefits, the U. S. Navy Recruiting Station and Office of Naval Officer Procurement at 1400 Pennsylvania Ave* NW, today encouraged all interested young men to apply for enlistment before January 31, 1955. ■ • *
The presidential proclamation concerning eligibility of personnel in the Armed Forces for various Veteran’s Wartime Benefits has fixed the termination date for ‘he benefits as January 31, 1955. Tne benefits affected by the proclamation include nonservice connected pensions, higher rates of compensation and hospitalization based on ‘ War Veteran” status, the education and training, vocational re'■'.hilitation, loan guaranty, unemployment compensation, and mustering-out payments.
