Local Chapter Of American Red Cross Makes 1955 Plans ‘
The Rappahannock Chapter of ( the American Red Cross, in a recent re-organization move, elected new officers and initiated a plan ,■ of work for the coming year. Bruce S. Bowie accepted the office of county chairman with S. E. Hening, accepting the position of vicechairman, and Mrs. A. M. Vemer, treasurer.'Mrs. Downing Wood is f membership chairman; Mrs. D. D. The county chairman attended a regional meeting of Red Cross workers, held Thursday evening in Harrisonburg. Leo Wilhelm, assistant manager ..of the Eastern' Area addressed the meeting. He devoted most of his talk to questions which might arise in the forthcoming membership and fund drive in March. This meeting was arranged by Mrs. Ellen Martin, field representative from the East-' era Area. „
Mrs. Martin has announced that a free motion picture showing the work of the Red Cross, locally and nationally, in war and in peace, is available to this, chapter#^ Plans are being made to show this ^picture in the court house early in February.
