James A. Mason
James Mason, age 82, died Thursday nifeht, February 10th at Warren Memorial Hospital fol. lowing a brief illness.
Mr. Mason, a fanner of the Castleton vicinity, was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Dr Mason, both pf Rappahannock* County. He was a member of the Woodville Baptist Church. \ i
Funeral services were conducted by the Reverend George W. Bowman III at 11 o’clock Saturday, February 12th with burial in the Washington Masonic Cemetery.
Active pallbearers at the; services included William Johnson, Lester, Chester and Ashby Wayland, Thomas Williams and William, Alphaeus and kay Cannon.
Honorary pallbearers were Moffett Wharton, Wade Settle, Gordon Wayland, Collie Johnson, Ray Cannon, Dr. J. P. Snead, Frank Armentrout and T. G. Barron. •
Mr. Mason is survived by his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Wayland Mason of Castleton ; a daughter, MrsT Lewis Corbin and three granddaughters, Betty, Jane and Shirley Corbin of Flint Hill and a sister, Mrs. Frank Cooksey who makes her home near Ben Venue.
