He. reentered V-P.I. and completed an ■ aeronautical engineering course with high honors, being classed as ail exceptional student. .For several years, he held a position with General Electric Company in New' York. In July he was recalled by tjhe Air Force a? captain and assigned to the research and development component as flight test engineer. He had been-sent to the California desert for additional schooling and was on a routine flight when the crash occured.
Captain Honts was a Mason, a member of Unity Lodge No. 146 of Front Royal, Hiram R. A. Chaptef 45 of Winchester Comma ndery No. 12, Acca Temple Shrine of Richmond. The burial was with complete military honors.
