life February 10,s 1955, at his. home in Gid Brown Hollow. He iwas the son of the late Banks and Agnes Porter. Mr. Porter was married to the late Sallie Venie in 1904.‘ He has lived iri Rappahannock County the best part of his life and has been a good citizen and friend to all. He was a Deacon and treasurer of the First Bethle- hem Primitive Baptist Church.
Mr. Porter leaves to mourn his two daughters, Mrs. Lucy ■ Grigsby of’Steelton, Pa., and Mrs. Mabel Fletcher of Washington; one son, Leroy Porter of Washington; six grandchildren, two sons-in-law; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Lily Hughes; a devoted friend, Mrs. Mary Timbers and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, j itr:
