Pete Davidson of Arlington is visiting his grandmother, Mrs. M. Rj Bradford, Sr., and the Bradford family for a few days. While here, Pete has helped M. R. Bradford III and Virginia Yates Bradford to manage a “back yard” carnival for the benefit of the fire company. This venture proved successful, financially netting the fire company, $12.00. Pete also made the posters for the queen contest.
Miss Mary K. Fincham has finished her 3 weeks graduate session at University of Virginia and has returned to her home.
Mrs. Warren Eastham of Shady Side, Maryland,- arrived Friday to spend a few days with her mother, Mrs. George Settle at Locust Grove.
Mrs. James Settle spent Tuesday night with Mr. and Mrs. James Settle, Jr. in Alexandria and went shopping in Washington, D. C., Wednesday.
Paul Nichols is teaching swimming to the members of the Pony Club three nights a week at Mrs. W. P. Slaughter’s pool.
