(Paid Political Advertising) 4-H’RS-—from pace 1 anything from singing and dancing to the study of Livestock Production and insect control. Of course, there were many classes in leadership and other subjects along that line. After dinner (which was always delicious) we had free time. In the evening we could tour the VPI campus, take iin a movie downtown, swim in the indoor pool, attend sheep shearing or share the fun qualification contests. Or we could just sit around writing post cards home and passing the time of day-with our friends. After supper we had vespers in the stadium, which is outside, and was a very impressive setting for prayers. AVe were honored to have as our speaker for the week, Jack Good,! himself, a 4-H All Star. The theme for the week was “Ye Are The Light Of The World.” After vespers we hurried to assembly each night and listened to speakers. State awards were also announced.
Wednesday and Thursday were just about alike. Friday morning and afternoon were much like the rest of the week. Friday evening we had the All Star Craemonial on the drill field. One of the most wonderful things that can happen to a 4-H'er is to be chosen an All Star. Rappahannock didn’t have any All Stars this yea;; but it was very moving to see one of your friends tapped for the honor.
