visit her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence E, Johnson in Sperryville. It was a double celebration for the family as Mr. Johnson had just returned home after being a patient at Veteran's Hospital in Roanoke for several months. Eleanor was 5 years old. Danny celebrated his seventh birthday at home with a picnic supper for his friends, Walter Krause, Jr. Bobby Pullen, and for his brother. Tommy and sisters, Judy and Jean. After supper, they_all enjoyed cowboy games in the yard.

Dr. Orville Wake and Arthur Wake were week-end guests of Dr. and Mrs. W, L. Wake at “The Kennels” last week. Their mother, Mrs. Maude Wake, returned to Lynchburg with them.
