At 9:15 p.m. Saturday night, 2 miles west of Amissville on Rt. j 211, William' Tapp, driving |a 1951 Ford pickup (owned mr ,j John Tapp) apparently lost control of the car on a straight stretch ] of road, ran off on the left should der and then turned over back into the roadway. Tapp was not injured. There was approximately $150 - $200 damage to the vehicle. Tapp was charged witli reckless driving.
The final accident occurred al: *11:45 p.m. 1 mile west of Washington, on Route 211, Earl Virgil Sloan of Washington, D.C., driving a 1948 Oldsmobile convertible, was headed east, and apparently lost control of the car on a curve just west of the Compton home. The car went off on the left side and hit the bank. It was declared a total loss. Sloan’ was admitted to Warren Memorial Hospital with head, chest and leg injuries, received when he was thrown out of the car. He was charged' with reckless driving. William Henry Pratt, of Washington, driving a 1946 Ford sedan, ran up on the car driven by Sloan, and applied his brakes to avoid the car. He lost control of the car, it turned over on the left side of the road. Pratt was uninjured. There was approximately $100 damage to the car.
