CATTLE The cow market is holding up favorably so far in view of the fact that we’re heading toward the supply peak, usually sometime in November, but heavy frost might change that situation. Cows in Virginia were 10c higher last week, with a $9.80 overall average. Chicago markets were 50c to $1 higher at $8.50 to $13.50. Virginia slaughter steers averaged about $18.50, same as last week. In Chicago, high choice and prime were $1.50 to $3 lower, and average choice and below’ wer weak to $2 lower.
