News of Veterans
With the Octpber checks, due to arrive this week, the Veterans Administration is mailing an important pamphlet to the widows, children and dependent parents of men who died as a result of service in the armed forces. The pamphlet is to notify survivors receiving compensation concerning their rights under the Survivor BeBnefits Act. passed by the last Congress', and effective January 1# 1957, and it is designed to help survivors decide whether to elect the new benefits or continue to receive cheeky under the old laws.
