Mrs. Gabe Burke was in Washington, D. C., last week to be with the family of her son,. Moses Burke, while his wife was in Georgia, called there by the illness and death of her mother. Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Keyser, who have been occupying an apartment at the Clopton house, have moved to the bungalow at Rose Cottage.

Mrs. W. F. Moffett, Sr., entertained the Washington bridge club Friday evening. Those playing were; Mrs. W. L. Keyser, Mrs. John Davis, Mrs. D. D. Miller. Mrs. T. C. Lea, Mrs. Wade H. Massie, Jr., Mrs. Elizabeth DeBergh. Mrs. W. F. Moffett. Jr., and Joe D. Keyser.

Those winning prizes were Mrs. D. D. Miller, Mrs. Elizabeth DeBergh. Mrs.. W. L. Keyser and J. D. Keyser.
