Virginia Experiences Heaviest Deer Kill
Fragmentary reports coming in to the offices of the Commission of Game and Inland Fisheries regarding the deer kill west of the Blue Ridge Mountains, for the week of November 19-24, indicate that the kill has been the heaviest in the history of the state.
According to Staurt P. Davey, Commission game technician, these reports indicate approximatelylO,000 deer have been killed. Unofiicial reports indicate approximately 2500 killed in Shenandoah County, and* approximately 1400 in Bath County.
