Slate Mills News
The Slate Mills H. D. Club met, at the home of Mrs. C. M. Ramey Monday evening with nine members and two visitors attend* ing. A demonstration on Centerpieces for table, and wreaths for doors and wndows were shown by the Home Demonstration agent, Mrs. Elizabeth Powers. Each one who was interested, made a Christmas corsage. Gifts were exchanged after which the hostess served refreshments in keeping with the season. We also viewed Mrs. Ramey’s attractive and convenient kitchen, which has recently been remodeled.
Mr. and Mrs. Carter White, and Mrs. Janie Cave spent Tuesdav in Richmond.
Mr. and Mrs. O. S. -Kilby and daughter Jean, visited Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Kilby in Farmville on Sunday.
