RED CROSS NAMED ' TO REPRESENT U. N.

The U. N. announced it had agreed that the Intemation Committee of the Red Cross would distribute U. N. relief in Hungary
The Committee, a Swiss organization with headquarters in Geneva, already is handing out relief in Hungary from various Red Cross societies around the world. The announcement said it would act as the U. N.’s agent in distributing food, clothing and medical supplies bought with money turned over to it by the U. N. The distribution, the statement added, will be “without discrimination and on the basis of need alone.”

The charge of manslaughter was dismissed in Circuit Court here on Tuesday, December 11th, against Robert Myers, (colored) of Huntley, Va., who was involved in an automibole accident, on July 25, 1956. in which Lester Daniel Hollar. 23, of Edinburg. Va., was killed. |
The accident occured in front of the Huntley Post Office. Both cars were headed toward Hint Hill, when the candy truck driven by Hollar, turned into the Huntley Post Office. The car driven by MeyeTs, crashed into the rear end of the truck, demolishing it. Hollar was pinned under the truck when it turned over.
