Mrs- Bessie Bowers
Mrs. Bessie Nethers Bowers, 78, wife of former State Sen. C. T. Bowers of Culpeper, died Monday in a Charlottesville hospital.
Mrs. Bowers was & florist in Culpeper for many years and was very well known in Rappahannock County. She was a niece of Mrs. Rosa Burton of Washington, Va. and an aunt of Mrs. Taylor Updike and Mrs. George Wood also of Washington.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Culpeper Methodist Church with interment in Fairview Cemetery.
